Happy March everyone! This month has been very stressful already. Our babysitter up and quit on us last week and we are in a desperate search for someone new. We may have to put Caden in daycare earlier than we had hoped. Grandparents are coming to the rescue again this week. I am not sure what we would do without them.

Caden is getting to the point where he would rather be sitting up than laying down. We got him a play gym last night and he loves it. He can't quite touch the ground so we added a pad underneath. Now he can move it all around. It lights up and he loves light up things! It keeps him content for a while at least!

In one of the pictures, Caden is being held by Peggy. Peggy and Kelly just got a new high def TV and Caden loves it. You will notice in the picture that Caden is just staring at it. He was cracking us up! My mom came and stayed with us on Presidents day and kept Caden all day. We really enjoyed having her here. I added a picture of Trevor too. He has learned to keep himself entertained.

He is smiling all the time now and laughs occasionally. He is such a good baby. His last weight was 13 1/2 pounds! We met a 4 month old at Wal-mart and she weighed 14 pounds. Caden has almost caught up! We are so proud of him.

We will update again as soon as possible. Happy Birthday to Peggy and Kelly! We hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

This is my babysitter, Kelley

Valentines Day... Moments before the big puke.

Isn't my hat cute?!

This is Johanna...her first time to see me!

Happy February! Everything is fine in the McCully house. Finally everyone is well. Jeremy and I both had an upper respritory thing that kept us home from work a couple of days, and then the next week I had a stomach bug which made me really sick. Now we are all fine and Caden is doing great. This month Caden began staying at the babysitter's while we are at work. She lives in our neighborhood and it so far is going well. Caden seems to adjust to any environment without much problem. The babysitter has a 3 year old daughter and a 5 month old son. She seems to be really good with Caden and her daughter loves him. Jeremy said when he went to pick Caden up the other day, Peyton, (the daughter) was telling Caden the story of Cinderella. :) He said Caden was just smiling away.

My friend Johanna came to visit from Canada in February also and was able to see Caden for the first time. She brought him the cutest hat with the Canadian Maple leaf on it. He looks so cute in it.

Caden is changing so fast. He has now learned how to make a raspberry noise with his lips and it is his new favorite thing to do. He is so close to being able to sit up on his own too. With support he loves to stand up...especially when he is mad.

On Valentines Day Caden and Jeremy bought me some beautiful flowers. Caden had on the cutest Valentines Day outfit for all of two minutes before he threw up all over it. We did manage to get pictures before the incident. :)

Thank you for visiting. We will add more soon!

January Update

Hello everyone! I sure hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a great new year. January has been a very busy month for us. I started back to work January 2nd. What a hard day that was. Peggy and Kelly came to stay with Caden for the week, just to ease me in. The second week of January, my mom stayed with Caden. That same week, my nephew Chris came to visit from California. He stayed several days and really enjoyed his time with Caden. The third week of January, Peggy and Kelly came again. It has been so wonderful having them and my mom here to help us out. It has made going back to work so much easier for me. Leaving Caden with a sitter will be very hard. Caden was supposed to start staying with a lady we met through our neighbor on the 22nd, but her son got RSV that week. RSV is the virus we are so worried about Caden getting. The doctor says if Caden gets it, because he was a preemie, he would probably end up in the hospital. So luckily, Peggy and Kelly were able to stay again last week and will be here next week to just to make sure everyone is healthy before he goes over there.
Caden is doing so well. He changes everyday and gets cutier every day too! Last Saturday, we decided that he had outgrown his bassinet, so we moved him to his crib. He made the adjustment with no problem. We also started supplementing with formula as my milk supply has dropped since returning to work. He gets 1/2 breast milk and 1/2 formula and he is doing great on it. We were a little worried that it may exasperate the reflux, but so far he is doing just fine. He is smiling all the time now and his favorite time to coo and smile is when we change his diaper. He will lay there forever just talking and smiling. Needless to say, that is my favorite time too. His other favorite thing to do is to play on his play mat. He is now reaching for the toys and even grabs hold some times! As you can see in the pictures, he is now able to hold his head and chest up off the floor. The therapist who visits once a month to help make sure he is progressing as he should (since he was early) says he is ahead of schedule. She thinks he is doing extremely well for his adjusted age. Music to Mommy and Daddy's ears!
Caden watched his first OU bowl game with daddy. Mommy even let him wear an OU outfit! Daddy tried to teach Caden how to make the OU sign with his arms, but they were not long enough to get around his head! :) He started crying too. Mommy thinks that is a sign that he would rather be a OSU fan!
We hope you have a wonderful February and hope to hear from you soon! We thank God everyday for our wonderful family. A special thanks to Peggy, Kelly, and my mom for taking time out of there lives to help with Caden. You guys are so wonderful and we love you so much!

Caden's 1st Christmas

Here are a few pictures of Caden's first Christmas. Grandpa Larry got Caden a massive Tonka Truck. It is big enough to hold him! Jeremy's eyes lit up when we opened it. :) On Christmas day Caden turned 3 months old and weighed 10 pounds and 4 ounces! Hope you all have a happy New Year!

December Update

Hello! Here are more pictures of our handsome baby boy. He is doing great. We took him to the doctor last week and he weighed 8 pounds and was 20 inches long! He has now passed his due date of November 20th and is the size of a term newborn. He is having some trouble with acid reflux, which the doctor says he will grow out of. He set a new record last night...he slept for 7 hours!!! Needless to say, Jeremy and I are very happy with the extra sleep. Caden loves his baths and almost falls asleep during them, but he hates getting out. The day after Thanksgiving, Caden had his first snow. It was beautiful! He also experienced his first bedlam game. He slept through most of it, but I am sure if he was awake he would have been cheering for the cowboys, although Jeremy disagrees! We had a great Thanksgiving and loved having everyone over to finally meet Caden. We had so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We can't wait to see you all at Christmas and send our love to those who live far away. We love hearing from everyone so keep the posts coming!

Merry Christmas!
